After completing his graduate studies in Architecture and Civil Engineering in ESIB Beirut, Bassam Matar decided to work in the field of architecture. During the real estate boom, in the 70's, he specialized in complex concrete structures and techniques. Following this he brought to completion a broad range of projects including bridges, plants and malls, in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. He created his own office in Lebanon, in 1982 and designed projects in several countries (Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon…)

In 1989, He moved to Montreal Canada, where he worked in rehabilitation. Following the end of Lebanese war in 1993, He moved back to Lebanon, with one objective: To be an active member in the reconstruction of the country. In 1994, he was called to teach at ALBA university (Academie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts) «Building Processes and Techniques».

Till today Bassam Matar has built, rehabilitated and renovated more than 500 000 sqm with high time and cost efficiency.

Georges graduated from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts (ALBA), Beirut, Lebanon in 2002, with a DESS in Architecture. In 2006, he obtained a Masters in Real Estate Management and Finance from the Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics (ESTP), Paris - France.

Georges B. Matar is member of the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects in Beirut and is a chartered surveyor member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) London, UK.

He works with the Real Estate department of Bank Audi on the asset management side. He designed and executed more than 20 projects in Lebanon and the Arab countries from private residences to hospitals and schools.
